Music, community and diversity in Fårevejle Kirkebo
At the Fårevejle Kirkebo residence, they use outdoor musical instruments to create sensory experiences and strengthen the community – both among the residents and with the local area.
The music is broad and embraces the diversity of the community. Some feel the joy through the sound, others through the vibrations in their bodies. The instruments create peace and presence, and the residents use them both alone and together – always with smiles and laughter.
And when the instruments were inaugurated, the local children were invited along. Because the wish is clear: Music should build bridges and bring people together – regardless of age and background.
“We want to develop our place of residence with music. The outdoor musical instruments provide opportunities for both joint events and for the residents to individually experience tones and sounds – physically and mentally.”
– Anders, teacher, Fårevejle Kirkebo
Invites people to play in the local community
When the instruments were inaugurated, local children were invited along. Because the wish is clear: Music should build bridges and bring people together – regardless of age and background.
