Space for Music and Movement
Vorgod-Barde School has taken the first step towards creating a musical playground with their newly acquired Bongos Drum. One of the school's teachers, Tinna, participated in Percussion Play's raffle during Lærfest24 and won the instrument, which is now beautifully placed on the school's outdoor area. The location, which is close to the school building, the after-school care center and the pavilion where the preschool children stay, was chosen with care.
“We have chosen a location with plenty of space so that we can expand with more musical instruments in the future. It provides the opportunity to take music lessons out into nature and create new experiences with music in another room,”
A future with more possibilities
The school has great ambitions to expand their musical outdoor areas and is already in the process of raising funds for a larger musical playground. In addition, the school collaborates with Ringkøbing-Skjern Music School, which regularly visits the school. “It fits perfectly with bringing music into the outdoor area,” concludes Tinna.
With their first musical instrument in place, Vorgod-Barde School looks forward to creating an even more inclusive and creative schoolyard where music and movement can go hand in hand.
