A new music garden strengthens inclusion and creativity at Frisholm School
At Frisholm School, they have taken a new step towards a more inclusive and creative everyday life. In connection with the construction of the school's new inclusion center, outdoor musical instruments have now been installed, which have already created great excitement among the students.
The music playground is a free space where all students, regardless of their abilities, can participate, experiment and express themselves through music. Music creates a natural framework for community, where children meet across grade levels and abilities. The school staff see the new instruments as an important tool to strengthen the children's social interaction, concentration and motor development.
"We're just really looking forward to getting out and playing them!!"
Music and movement play a crucial role in children's well-being and learning.
With outdoor musical instruments, students have the opportunity to play with sound, rhythms and melody during recess, but also as part of the lesson. The instruments are intuitive and accessible to everyone, which makes it possible to include both the most musical students and those who do not have much experience with music.
At Frisholm School, they are already seeing how music strengthens students' creativity, concentration and collaboration skills. It is an investment in the children's development that makes the school an even better place to learn and be together.
