Percussion Play Attends NRPA 2018 Conference in Indianapolis

Percussion Play is once again exhibiting at the NRPA (National Recreational & Park Association) Annual Conference this year being held in Indianapolis, Indiana.

"We look forward to networking with park and recreation professionals at every level” comments Jody Ashfield, Managing Director at Percussion Play.

“Our outdoor musical instruments are perfect for parks, trails and recreation areas. Every year we try to bring along something new and innovative to show the NRPA attendees - this year we are particularly excited to demonstrate our fully mechanical Grand Floor Piano and invite you all to come and try it for yourselves! Fully inclusive, accessible and multi-generational, our floor pianos are engineered to suit all outdoor environments".

We’re eager to have lots of fantastic conversations with great people who are interested in all things park, recreation and music related....

New Street Quartet Ensemble

We know the urban realm is a harsh and demanding environment which is why each instrument in the new Street Quartet ensemble has been specially selected for their supreme durability. Consisting of a large Babel Drum, Handpipes, Emperor Chimes and Cajon Drum, all are made from either stainless steel or aluminium, both have clean attractive finishes that are visually appealing while delivering superior robustness and high corrosion resistance - making them practical for many different types of outdoor space.

What we love most is that they are all designed to be played with the hands - so no beaters or mallets required!

New Case Study - Ireland’s ‘most inclusive’ playground

Percussion Play instruments feature in a brand new playground considered Ireland's most inclusive. The playground designers involved have considered both physical and sensory disabilities as well as additional needs of children on the autism spectrum and those with motor coordination difficulties. Today the community has a playground that meets the needs of every child whilst playing side by side. The design of the equipment meant that the playground is not obviously a special needs playground, nothing is tucked away in a corner.

Kasha Huse - I’m a mother of 3 fantastic children. The music area was so calming, and all the children were being creative and getting involved. For once, we all as a family, enjoyed a trip to the playground and have been there many times since.

New Series of Articles to Be Published in Percussion Play 'Knowledge Base'

The Percussion Play team has been steadily growing and we are excited to introduce a new team member who has joined us recently as our Sales Assistant - Kate Mannerings.

Kate has recently joined the Percussion Play team and having come from a background in Early Years education she was immediately able to identify the many ways in which our musical instruments could be used successfully in an outdoor educational environment. We've asked her to write down her thoughts and ideas, and the result is a fabulous series of articles intended to support practitioners within early years settings. We're delighted to start sharing these with you over in our 'Knowledge Base' with the first article available to view now!
